Instructions
  1. Prepare toppings (grate cheese, chop olives, make guacamole, etc.) and spread tortilla chips in single layer across two, large foil lined baking sheets.
  2. Beginning with refried beans, spoon into prepared pastry bag. Don’t use a decorating tip for this step–only a couplet–so beans won’t get stuck when you pipe them onto each nacho. Add beans to tortilla chips.
  3. Rinse pastry bag with water. Squeeze off excess water and/or dry. Add guacamole to pastry bag. Pipe onto nachos.
  4. Rinse pastry bag with water, dry, reuse bag for piping Picante sauce, green chilies, and sour cream on top of your chips. Note: I add a decorating tip for sour cream since it is smooth and particle free. You can wash & re-use a pastry bag many times–go green.
  5. Sprinkle chips by hand with remaining ingredients–shredded cheese, olives, and meat (if using).
  6. Broil High for 2 minutes. I recommend using a kitchen timer so you don’t forget you’re making nachos. Serve hot. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Use a wide-tipped decorating tip or only the couplet to pipe your nacho toppings through. Chunky salsa, guacamole, and whole beans won’t pass through a fine tip. Modification: if you don’t have a plastic pastry bag, trying using a couplet with a Ziploc bag. Cut off (diagonally) a small corner of the bag before attaching couplet.
